2017 Deal Me In Short Stories Reading Challenge

Welcome to the Short Story Reading Challenge, “Deal Me In 2017!”

Hosted by Bibliophilopolis
(Deal Me In logo above created by Mannomoi at Dilettante Artiste)

What is the goal of the challenge?

To read 52 short stories in 2017 (that’s only one per week – versions with a lesser story requirement are noted below)
What do I need?
1) Access to at least fifty-two short stories (don’t own any short story collections or anthologies? See links to online resources below)
2) A deck of cards
3) An average of perhaps just thirty minutes of reading time each week

  1. Replies
    1. Thank you! I'm very much looking forward to this challenge.

  2. A lot of these stories were on my list last year! I also love that you included plenty of Ray Bradbury. Looking forward to checking back and reading your thoughts on them.

  3. This is a great roster of stories. I think I've read more on your list than anybody else participating this year. So many great ones! I've seen Stone Mattress on a few lists this year. Also "Story of an Hour" won my unofficial award for favorite Deal Me In story for me one year. You have a great year of reading ahead of you! :-)
